In November, just before the cold really set in, we spent an afternoon wandering through downtown Sudbury together. No rushing, no rigid shot list. Just the two of them, a city they know, and a coffee in hand from Kuppajo Espresso Bar. It’s one of those warm, tucked-away spots you want to linger in all afternoon, and that easy, unhurried energy translated into every single frame.

We made our way through the streets, pausing at little architectural nooks and quiet corners along the way. The kind of spots you only find when you’re actually paying attention to a place. Scotia and Danny brought such ease and genuineness with them from the very start, which is honestly what makes a session like this work. Because of that, the city just became the backdrop for who they already are together.

The session ended exactly where it always belonged – on the rooftop of the McEwen School of Architecture. For most couples, a rooftop is just a great location. For Scotia, it’s somewhere that holds years of hard work, late nights, and the achievement of earning her master’s degree in architecture. Standing there with Danny as the light faded over Sudbury felt less like a photoshoot and more like a full-circle moment.
