We started this session out on the pier in Gore Bay, where the sky gave us the perfect mix of blue and cloud cover — soft, forgiving afternoon light that made every frame feel effortless. Bobbie and Rick were easy together from the very first shot, all quiet smiles and stolen glances out over the water.
From there we made our way to a basketball court that means more to Rick than just a place to shoot hoops — it’s where he spent all his free time as a kid. There was something so special about photographing them there, watching Rick fall right back into that familiar rhythm while Bobbie laughed along beside him. It’s one thing to photograph a couple in a beautiful location, but it’s another to photograph them somewhere that actually holds a piece of their story.
We ended the day at the beach in Providence Bay, timed just right to catch the sunset. The light went soft and golden, the kind that makes you want to slow everything down, and Bobbie and Rick walked the shoreline hand in hand like they had nowhere else to be.
Three stops, three completely different feelings — and somehow it all fit together perfectly. That’s the thing about a good engagement session: it’s not just about pretty light, it’s about telling the story of two people exactly as they are.
