Honestly - kids are kids, and I fully expect them to act like themselves during your session. There’s never any pressure for perfect behaviour or constant smiling. I approach sessions in a relaxed, playful way and allow space for genuine moments to unfold naturally. In my experience, the less pressure everyone feels, the more meaningful and joyful the images become.

The best thing you can do is simply show up ready to be present with the people you love. Kids are incredibly intuitive and tend to mirror our energy, so I always encourage parents to let go of the pressure and trust the process. I’ll guide things naturally throughout the session while leaving plenty of room for real connection and candid moments.

Absolutely — and you’re definitely not alone in feeling that way. Most of my clients say this before their session, and almost all of them end up surprised by how natural everything feels. My approach is gently guided and focused on connection rather than stiff posing, so nothing ever feels overly forced or unnatural. I’ll help you every step of the way so you can relax, settle in, and focus on simply being together.

I always keep backup dates available each month in case of poor weather, and there is never a fee to reschedule because of rain or overcast skies. Since natural light plays such a large role in my work, I’ll typically make the final weather call the morning of your session to ensure we have the best possible conditions.

I know choosing outfits can sometimes feel overwhelming, which is why I try to make the process as easy as possible. Every client receives a session guide after booking with advice on how to plan outfits, along with access to additional styling support if needed. My goal is to help you choose pieces that feel comfortable, cohesive, and true to you without adding extra stress to the experience.

I completely understand that some clients prefer to keep their images private, especially when children are involved. While my contract does note that I retain the right to share images for portfolio and marketing purposes, I’m always happy to accommodate privacy requests. My priority is making sure you feel comfortable throughout the entire experience.

Most clients choose to schedule between 30–36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you're still feeling comfortable and mobile. That said, every pregnancy is different, so I'm always happy to chat about what timing feels right for you specifically.

Absolutely! Your pets are part of your story too, and I’m more than happy to include them in your session. Just be sure to bring a leash, a few treats, and someone who can help if needed when they’re not in photos.

Once you reach out through my contact form, I’ll send over everything you need to get started, including availability, session details, and your booking proposal. Once your contract and retainer are completed, your session date is officially reserved.
